Equity Researcher
Role description:
Binomial Technologies is seeking a part-time, unpaid Equity Research Intern to support our investment research in public markets. You’ll work directly with the fund’s founders on high-conviction research projects, contributing to idea generation, company analysis, and valuation efforts. This is an opportunity to gain real exposure to hedge fund workflows while helping shape a young, innovation-driven investment platform. Position can convert to a full-time paid position, however this isn't guaranteed.
What we're looking for:
Academic background in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Mathematics (or equivalent experience)
Solid understanding of equity valuation and financial modeling techniques
Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Bloomberg
Optional: experience with Python (NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn)
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Self-starter attitude and intellectual curiosity
Previous investing experience or a personal track record is a plus
Key responsibilities:
Analyze financial statements, earnings reports, and industry data for public companies
Build and update valuation models (DCF, comparables, sensitivity analysis)
Track and summarize market trends, news, and key company-specific catalysts
Contribute to expanding our investment pipeline through bottom-up research
Support the preparation of internal investment memos, thesis-breaker scenarios, and pitch materials
Collaborate directly with the fund’s founders on research initiatives and idea development
